Day-to-Day Schedule

 Mornings:
Rotational potty breaks, walks, and play sessions begin around 7:00 AM, with our youngest guests (and their smallest bladders) going first and moving down the line according to age. Once everyone has had a chance to stretch their legs and take care of business, breakfast is served. Dogs staying with us for training begin their first sessions by working for their breakfast rations.

Afternoons:
Depending on the weather, afternoons are dedicated to exercise and enrichment. On nice days, our guests explore our 20+ acres during low-structured "sniffaris," enjoy outdoor adventures, or take a splash in the pool. When temperatures are less comfortable, our guests spend quality one-on-one time with us indoors, walk on our treadmills, and participate in training games and enrichment activities.

Evenings:
After another round of rotational potty breaks, dinner is served. Every dog staying with us receives four walks per day tailored to their individual needs, energy level, and stamina. Our senior dogs enjoy short, leisurely strolls, while our younger, more energetic guests can stretch their legs for miles. We believe every dog deserves care that is customized to who they are.

Bedtime:
Once everyone is ready to settle in, each pup is tucked into their secure sleeping space with any comfort items brought from home. Their kennel technician completes a final nighttime check and cleanup before settling into her loft apartment just feet away from their sleeping area. At Top City Dogs, your pup is never left alone overnight.

Training Add-On

Available only to dogs we have previously trained who are already fully integrated with the Top City Dogs system.  Should your dog be staying with us for regular boarding while you are out of town, training refreshers can be added to their daily boarding rate at $25 per session!

    Requirements

    Vaccinations

Below is the list of the required and recommended vaccinations to board with us at TCD. Vaccine records must be from a recognized veterinarian and administered at least two weeks prior to their scheduled stay.

    Parvo-Distemper (Required)

    Rabies (Required)

    Bordatella (Required)

    Leptospirosis (Recommended)

    Behavior

    Crate/Kennel Training

Dogs staying with us should be reasonably comfortable with confinement and able to settle safely in their designated spaces. Dogs who repeatedly attempt to escape or damage kennels, equipment, or facility property may not be a good fit for our boarding environment. Any excessive damage beyond normal wear and tear will be the owner's financial responsibility and may result in termination of the stay.

    General Handleability

While our team is highly experienced in safe handling practices, dogs that demonstrate a serious intent to cause physical harm to our staff or other residents may have their stay terminated and require immediate pickup. The safety of our guests, team, and household is our highest priority, and we reserve the right to make decisions necessary to maintain a safe environment for everyone.

    Fleas, Ticks, and Other Nasties

Top City Dogs is a countryside facility located on a natural 20+ acre farm. Our property is home to beautiful landscapes, native flora and fauna, open spaces, and all of the Kansas outdoor critters that come with country living.

Because we share our environment with nature, it is the owner's responsibility to ensure their dog is protected from fleas and ticks through the use of reliable, veterinarian-recommended preventatives on a consistent schedule. Our resident dogs remain protected through routine prevention, and we strongly encourage all guests to arrive with current flea and tick protection to help keep everyone safe and comfortable.
