FastCAT/DASH
What we're most known for - but certainly not the only thing we do! TCD is home to the only permanent FastCAT/DASH course in the entire state of Kansas. FastCAT is an exhilarating sport through the American Kennel Club where dogs of all shapes and sizes chase a mechanical lure down a straight-leg, 100 yard track. Each dog runs individually and is timed to see how fast they clear the finish line. We run practices all the time at TCD, but we also host official events where dogs can earn points towards titles and national level rankings for their breeds! FastCAT (and DASH through UKC) is one of the most beginner-friendly dog sports out there, requires no special training. Let us help you get started!
Competition Obedience
All of our trainers participate in competition obedience with their personal dogs and have each won awards of merit in various dog training venues. If you are interested in getting involved in any of the different types of competition obedience we would be thrilled to help coach you and your dog through your journey!
Disc
TCD routinely hosts the Topeka, KS Disc Dogs club! They are an amazing and welcoming group of folks who are always happy to help new people interested in Disc get started, as well as provide lots of coaching and guidance to those who want to seriously compete. Prairie Fire Performance Dogs UKC Club
Our crew is very active with PFPD, which is a non-profit affiliate of the United Kennel Club. PFPD is a membership based social club in the NE Kansas Area that holds monthly meetings, works together to put on dog sporting events, hosts training days, community improvement projects, fundraisers, has an actives Juniors mentorship program, and so much more!
