Each of our TCD trainers specializes in different areas of dog training, and all are committed to continually expanding their education. Our team brings decades of collective experience and is dedicated to helping you reach your goals with your dog.
Board & Train Options
Let our experienced trainers "install the programming" into your dog's brain—and then teach you how to push the buttons! Our board and train programs focus on building clear communication between you and your dog so the skills last long after they come home. We offer both traditional board and trains, where dogs stay with us for an extended training period, and hybrid board and trains, where dogs train with us during the week and return home on weekends. Puppy Preschool (Hybrid)
Our most PUPular program! Designed for puppies 4–8 months old, Puppy Preschool is a three-week hybrid board and train program where your little one stays with our experienced trainers during the week and returns home on weekends to socialize, bond, and practice their new skills with the family. Basic Obedience (Standard/Hybrid)
For dogs older than 8 months who need assistance with learning leash manners and general obedience commands. Click [HERE] for more info.
Rapid Recall Program (Standard)
An intense 7 day long "bootcamp" focusing strictly on off-leash reliability and recall work. Length of training can be extended as necessary. Click [HERE] for more info.
Behavioral Modification (Standard/Hybrid)
For dogs suffering from severe fear, anxiety, reactivity, and aggression towards animals or humans. Read more [HERE]
Training Add-On (Standard)
Available only to dogs we have previously trained who are already fully integrated with the Top City Dogs system. Should your dog be staying with us for regular boarding while you are out of town, training refreshers can be added to their daily boarding rate at $25 per session.
Private Obedience Sessions
Let our trainers teach YOU how to train your dog! Private lessons are typically about an hour long, with you holding the leash for the majority of the session while we provide guidance, instruction, and support.
Private Lesson @ TCD
Join us at TCD and let us teach you how to train your dog. Each session typically lasts around 1 hour and is tailored to whatever specific needs you have with your dog. Read more [HERE]
Private Lesson @ Home
Let our trainers come to you and teach you from the comfort of your own home! Private Lesson clients must be within 30 miles of Topeka, KS. Exceptions may be made if the private lessons are part of one of our longer-term board and train packages. Individual in-home sessions are only available for general obedience, not Behavioral Modification. Read more [HERE]
Therapy Dog Prep School
An annual training subscription for those working towards Therapy Dog certifications or self-training service dogs. Private sessions, scheduled social outings, and unlimited trainer assistance to get you and your dog to be where you need to be for your specialized goals. Read more [HERE]
Group Obedience Sessions
Planned public group sessions and outings are FREE for our students who are actively in or have completed any of our Board & Train programs and only $10 per dog for guests.
Parallel Play & Field Trips
We often host Parallel Play groups at Gage Park in Topeka, KS and monthly outings to various pet-friendly stores and patios to practice our obedience as a group!! Click [HERE] for more info.
