Loose leash walking, basic obedience, handler engagement, and more! Your dog is a lot more enjoyable when they are able to listen and behave in public settings. We obtain that with regular practice of our goals and expectations so that when real life situations arise your dog will know exactly what to do!
Practice giving permission to greet people and just continuing on with your walk while others pass by. There is a time and place to say hello, and that should be up to the human at the end of the leash - not the dog by dragging said human to every person they see.
Equally, dogs should be able to see and acknowledge other dogs while out and about without feeling the need to meet them. Practice keeping their focus and engagement while around other dogs who are practicing the same thing with their like-minded handlers.
Our training groups are welcome to dogs who are working on learning to be neutral around other people and dogs! We train in very large spaces that allow for lots of room to manage thresholds and have success for dogs in all stages of their training journeys.

Join the TCD crew on our adventures to pet-friendly public spaces like our local hardware stores, mom and pop shops, and more!

We love exploring Lake Shawnee, Iliff Commons, Clinton Lake, Mass Street, and more! Be sure to follow our Facebook group to be sure you never miss an outing!
